On April 25, 2024, the international conference "The Golden Horde and its Legacy" was held in the city of Turkestan, organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the Turkestan region. The initiative to hold the conference was announced by the President of the country at the SCO summit on July 4 last year. The conference was attended by renowned scientists, experts and leading specialists from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Turkey, Russia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait.
